Subaru considering production of Trezia STi concept

Subaru is considering the possibility of producing the Trezia STi concept, fitted with a number of STi parts (aero kit, STi tuned suspension and light weight wheels), which was presented at the Tokyo Motor Show. 

Apparently, visitors' reaction was very positive and Subaru has hired also an external company in order to conduct a research and then decide whether to make it available in the domestic market.

Subaru to showcase FR sports car technology concept (FT-86) at Geneva Motor Show!!!

Subaru has just announced what it will exhibit at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, opening on May 1. The Impreza concept presented at LA will be unveiled, along with the new Subaru Trezia, Toyota's Verso-S (aka Ractis) brother. The new Trezia will be available with a 1.3 L petrol egnine, as well as a 1.4 L turbo diesel one.

However, since the launch of the production FT-86 is not very far away, Subaru will present a rear-wheel drive sports car technology concept! According to Subaru, the concept will show how Subaru  proposes to integrate its expertise into a rear-wheel drive car to offer a new and highly enjoyable, Subaru-like driving experience. The technology concept will demonstrate how the all-new car platform  makes full use of Subaru’s engineering and Boxer technology.

Subaru to showcase three STi concepts at Tokyo Auto Salon

Subaru will showcase at the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon not only the Impreza WRX STi tS (earlier post), but also three STi concepts: a Trezia STi concept, an Exiga 2.0GT tS concept, as well as a Legacy 2.5i tS concept.

New Subaru Trezia to replace Justy in Europe

Ikuo Mori, President & CEO, Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd., announced today that the new Trezia (earlier post) will be sold also in Europe, replacing the Justy which is a rebadged Daihatsu Sirion (aka Boon ブーン). The sales target and date were not revealed.

Subaru launches new Trezia in Japan

Subaru has today launched the new Trezia (earlier post) in Japan. The car is actually Toyota Ractis' (aka Verso-S) little brother and it shows the close corporation between Toyota and Subaru.

The Trezia will be available in seven different grades with the usual choice of a 2WD or 4WD powertrain in conjunction with a 1.3L or 1.5L engine. Both engines are available with a CVT gearbox. Prices range from 1,428,000 ¥ (1.3i) up to 1,832,250 ¥ (1.5i TYPE EURO 4WD).

Subaru to launch Trezia in Japan

Subaru is about to launch the Trezia, a compact MPV, in Japan which will compete with Toyota's new Ractis (Verso-S in Europe).

I think there are a lot to expect from Subaru during the next couple of years, such as a better Impreza and the FT-86 (earlier post)...
